I visited Katanga, one of Kampala's most well-known informal settlements, to see what life is really like inside the community. 🇺🇬 In this video, I walk through the Katanga slums in Kampala, Uganda, exploring the streets, homes, businesses and everyday life of the people who call this community home. I wanted to look beyond the usual image of Kampala and understand the realities of life in an informal settlement, including the challenges of poverty, overcrowding, housing and sanitation, but also the resilience, businesses, people and community that exist within Katanga.
