A short cinematic prospective view of Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife — captured with the DJI Osmo Pocket and DJI Mini 4 Pro drone. Once a small 16th-century fishing port serving the Valle de La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz grew into the island’s main harbour after the 1706 volcanic destruction of Garachico. Named after a wooden cross placed at the dock for the protection of sailors, it later became one of the Canary Islands’ first major tourist destinations in the 19th and 20th centuries.
