My Last Recorded Conversation with Dr. Morris Cerullo | A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I thought we were going to Dr. Morris Cerullo’s home for a cup of coffee. I had no idea we were about to record a conversation I would treasure for the rest of my life. It was a Sunday morning when my phone rang. It was Dr. Cerullo. He and Theresa had invited us to their home, so we picked up some coffee and headed over. When we walked through the door, I saw two chairs, television lights, and our television director. Dr. Cerullo greeted us so warmly, then asked me to take a seat. I didn’t know what was coming. Anyone who knew him knew how spontaneous and Spirit-led he could be. That morning, I simply sat down and listened. By then, I had been by his side for more than 30 years. In this nearly 11-minute conversation, he spoke directly to me about succession, the anointing I had received through his ministry, and how that ministry would continue through my life and through others. His calling was to build God an army, and this conversation was a deeply personal expression of that larger vision. He was passing something precious to me—a spiritual inheritance to carry forward with faithfulness and care. I received his words with deep gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility. This conversation took place within about a year of his passing. What began as an invitation for coffee became a moment I’ll never forget.
