Memorial Day Service 2021 - "Death and Dukkha"

On Memorial Day weekend Sunday, our Jodo Shinshu temples are usually closed and services are held at cemeteries where our Sangha is at rest. In 2021, we are posting an online service by Rev. Gregory Gibbs, for those who are not ready to visit cemeteries in person. Today's sermon is on how the Buddha Dharma can help the Sangha deal with the suffering (Dukkha) caused by being parted from a loved one. Order of Service: 0:00 Calling Bell 1:38 Welcome 2:33 Juseige (Sutra chanting) 6:15 Oshoko (incense offering) 7:10 Dharma Message (Rev. Gibbs) Please subscribe to our YouTube channel and follow us on Facebook and Instagram at: /PasadenaSangha.
