Isabelle Sparkle smashes her first ever 10k run - Aged 7 - Dinosaur Trail

Isabelle has become a confident runner over the past 6 months and has now 38 full Parkruns under her belt. We hadnt planned for her to do a 10k for some time however earlier this week she casually ran a 5 mile and when ask said she could have done the extra. So we attempted it on another day. It was a little warmer than anticipated sowe ran super steady, taking time to hydrate, catch our breath etc. This wasnt about time or over exertion but rather introducing her to the distance in the softest and most fun way possible. I kept the pressure of pace to a minimum though on occasion Isabelle randomly would drop a sprint in just to keep Daddy on his toes. We ran the entirety of Watermead country Parks taking in lots of the dino trail they have, including the T rex slide, and the woolly mammoth monument
