How One Mistake Changed The World Forever

Imagine you're dead. Then imagine you finally get a chance to leave, the gates are opening, and someone offers you a piece of fruit. The story of Persephone is not really about a pomegranate, and the ancient Greeks never fully agreed on whether she was tricked or knew exactly what she was doing. In this video, we follow Persephone from a quiet meadow to the throne of the Underworld. We see how Demeter's grief made the earth stop growing, why Zeus had to step in, and what those few seeds really did to Persephone. You'll discover why the myth explains the seasons, and why it also says something much harder about how people change after they cross a line they can't uncross.
