Royal Opera House Muscat | 15 Years of Inspiration

15 YEARS OF INSPIRATION Fifteen years ago, the Royal Opera House Muscat opened its doors with a vision rooted in the belief that music and the arts can bring people together, enrich lives and create meaningful dialogue between cultures. Today, as we celebrate 15 Years of Inspiration, we look back with pride on a remarkable journey shaped by extraordinary artists, devoted audiences and the many people whose dedication and support have helped ROHM flourish. This anniversary is a reflection of the enduring cultural vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, whose commitment to the arts and to dialogue between Oman and the world gave rise to this remarkable institution. Under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, this vision continues to flourish, as ROHM remains a place where artists, cultures and audiences meet. The anniversary season celebrates this journey while looking to the future. Alongside a rich programme of international performances, ROHM presents four of its own opera productions: Rigoletto, Sindbad: The Omani Sailor, The Opera! and The Magic Flute: Defeating the Monsters. Beyond the stage, 15 Years of Stage and Splendour traces ROHM’s artistic journey through original costumes, production artefacts, archive materials and immersive installations from landmark productions including Turandot, Lakmé, Rigoletto and Sindbad. This special anniversary concert brings together the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, the ROHM Children’s Choir, the Opera Choir Group and Oriental Ensemble, conducted by Hamdan Al Shuaili. It also features Royal Swing, a new composition created in tribute to the Royal Opera House Muscat. As we mark fifteen years, we celebrate not only what has been achieved, but the shared experiences and artistic encounters that have made these years a journey of inspiration.
