🇮🇳 Craving Mumbai-style Pav Bhaji while living in Germany? 🇩🇪 This time, we’re bringing the flavours of Indian street food into our little kitchen in Düsseldorf, Germany! From preparing the spicy, buttery bhaji to experimenting with locally available bread for the pav, join us as we cook one of India’s most loved street-food dishes together. Welcome back to Miles with Gagan – Vlog #7! ❤️ HOMEMADE PAV BHAJI IN GERMANY Living in Germany as Indians, there are days when we really crave the food we grew up enjoying back home. And what’s better than a plate of hot, buttery Pav Bhaji? Pav Bhaji is one of India’s most popular street foods, especially associated with Mumbai and Maharashtra. The dish combines a rich, flavourful mashed vegetable curry (bhaji) with soft, butter-toasted bread rolls (pav). But recreating our favourite Indian dishes abroad sometimes means getting creative with ingredients available locally! This time, instead of traditional Mumbai pav, we’re trying bread available in German supermarkets and making our own version of this classic Indian street-food favourite. 👨‍🍳 WHAT’S IN THIS VLOG? 🍅 Preparing homemade Pav Bhaji in our German kitchen 🥔 Cooking the flavourful vegetable bhaji 🍞 Finding an alternative to traditional Indian pav 🧈 Toasting the bread to pair with our bhaji ❤️ Gagan & Pallavi cooking together 🍛 Finally sitting down to enjoy our homemade Indian meal And of course, all the little conversations and moments that make cooking together memorable! 🇩🇪 INDIAN COOKING & LIFE IN GERMANY One of the interesting things about living abroad is learning how to recreate the flavours of home using ingredients from local supermarkets. Whether you’re an Indian student living in Germany, a working professional, an NRI in Europe, or simply someone who loves Indian food, you’ll probably relate to the experience of missing your favourite dishes! Sometimes all you need is a little creativity, a few familiar Indian spices, and the motivation to cook something delicious. 🌶️ WHAT IS PAV BHAJI? For our international viewers, Pav Bhaji is a famous vegetarian Indian street-food dish that originated in Mumbai. It typically consists of: • Bhaji — a rich, spiced mashed vegetable curry • Pav — soft bread rolls traditionally toasted with butter • Butter, fresh coriander, onions, and lemon — popular accompaniments It’s comforting, flavourful, and one of India’s most beloved street-food classics. This is our casual home-cooking vlog rather than a measured, step-by-step recipe tutorial. We’re simply sharing our experience of making Pav Bhaji together in Germany! 🌍 ABOUT MILES WITH GAGAN We’re Gagan & Pallavi, an Indian couple living in Düsseldorf, Germany, documenting our travel adventures, food discoveries, cultural celebrations, and everyday experiences.
