WHEN A MAN SLEPT, THE THIEF CAME AND STOLE GLORY Spiritual sleep is dangerous. When prayer life dies, when watchfulness is lost, when a man becomes careless in his walk with GOD, the enemy finds access to steal virtues, opportunities, joy, peace, destiny, and glory. Many people did not lose their glory in the daytime of battle but in the night of carelessness. Samson slept on Delilah’s lap and lost his power. While men slept, the enemy sowed tares among the wheat. Sleep here does not only mean physical sleep, but spiritual weakness, prayerlessness, lukewarmness, sin, distraction, and ignorance of the devices of the enemy. The thief does not come empty-handed; he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He steals favour, delays destinies, scatters homes, weakens spiritual fire, and exchanges glory for shame. Beloved, this is the hour to awake from spiritual slumber. Guard your altar of prayer. Stay in the Word. Be vigilant.
