She had nothing left to give. But when a freezing stranger knocked on her door in the middle of a blizzard, she gave him her children's last bread.
Oklahoma Panhandle, 1934. Hannah Whitfield is a young widow with two hungry children, a failing farm, and a foreclosure notice she cannot pay. On the coldest night of the winter, she opens her Bible, lifts her eyes to God, and asks for one thing: an answer. Moments later, three knocks shake the door.
What she doesn't know is who is standing on her porch, or whose name is signed at the bottom of the letter on her table.
This is a story about faith that holds on when the pantry is empty, about the kindness that costs us something, and about the God who is never late. Before Hannah ever found the words to pray, the answer was already walking toward her through the snow.
Stay until the end for a closing prayer and blessing. I believe it was meant for someone watching tonight.
