What Really Happened Between Jaylen Brown & Tatum?

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum won a championship together in 2024. Then, on July 1st, 2026, the Celtics traded Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers, the same team that had just knocked Boston out of the playoffs. Since then, the two haven't really spoken. Brown commented a blue cap emoji on a Bleacher Report post, and Tatum said in his vlog that the trade caught him off guard. So was this real beef that had been building for years? Or did a front office decision and a lack of communication break up the best duo Boston has had in a generation? In this video, we cover: How Brown and Tatum were drafted third overall one year apart, in 2016 and 2017 The 2018 Eastern Conference Finals run, the 2022 Finals, and the 2024 championship Brown's Finals MVP and the debate over who deserved it Tatum's Achilles injury and Brown's career-best 2025-26 season The 3-1 collapse against the Sixers and the Game 7 loss The Giannis trade rumors, the apron and supermax money, and the Brown trade The October "Finals MVP" comments, Tatum's vlog, and the cap emoji Tatum's response after the Knicks game My take: money and the apron caused the trade, but the silence is turning it into beef Next up: November 10th in Philadelphia, when they face each other for the first time since the trade. Did Tatum know about the trade, or was Brown out of line with that cap emoji? Let me know in the comments.
