Hello, and welcome to "Beauty and the Biz," where we'll discuss the business and marketing side of plastic surgery. As always, I'm your host, Catherine Maley, author of "Your Aesthetic Practice – What Your Patients Are Saying." and consultant to plastic surgeons, helping them get more patients and more profits. Dr. Stephanie Poris found another form of social proof. Perhaps, this method is even more valuable. Undoubtedly, every plastic surgeon knows what patients want. Specifically, they want to see great photos and reviews. However, Poris is doing something else on her website. Consequently, this strategy caught my attention immediately. Initially, Poris went straight from fellowship into private practice. Subsequently, she grew to two Florida locations within five years. Additionally, she built a thriving med spa and an in-house surgical facility. Meanwhile, she discovered a new form of social proof. Truly, this proof is more powerful than traditional before-and-after photos. Frequently, her patients send photos of themselves living life after surgery. For example, they share pictures on vacation or at a wedding. Also, they pose in bathing suits or flattering clothes. Naturally, these are not polished before-and-after photos. Instead, they are real patients showing off their results and confidence. Currently, this authenticity matters even more. Furthermore, cosmetic patients face increasingly unrealistic expectations. Specifically, they see endless filters, social media and AI-generated images. Therefore, surgeons often hear advice to create more content. However, I think a bigger opportunity exists. Namely, you should focus on creating more believable and authentic social proof. Accordingly, we discuss several topics in this week's "Beauty and the Biz Podcast" video. First, we explore building a distinct brand voice. Next, we explain why she refuses to join TikTok. Then, we cover using content without letting it consume your practice. Finally, we analyze how AI may change patient expectations. Consequently, I recommend reviewing your own website and social channels. Presently, do prospective patients see polished marketing? Alternatively, do they see enough real patients with real stories, struggles, results and confidence? Finally, do you want three more surgeries a month? Accordingly, see what that could add to your annual revenue here: https://bit.ly/4xgvULd Resources for Plastic Surgeons: 📕 Get the Beauty and the Biz Practice Growth Playbook: https://bit.ly/4cZNSuD 📊 Schedule a Practice Performance Audit: https://bit.ly/4dC2znZ 🎧 Listen to more Beauty and the Biz episodes: https://bit.ly/4aqQ2Su 🌐 Visit Catherine Maley: https://bit.ly/4eFlLR6 Enjoy, Catherine Maley, MBA Author, Consultant and Host of "Beauty and the Biz" 🔄 LET'S CONNECT: 📸 Instagram: https://bit.ly/4aVlqZn 🤝 LinkedIn: https://bit.ly/4anhDny Visit Dr. Poris' Website https://www.porisplasticsurgery.com/ #BeautyAndTheBiz #PlasticSurgeryPodcast #PlasticSurgeryMarketing #AestheticPracticeMarketing #CosmeticPracticeGrowth #CatherineMaley
