A former speed-metal drummer with the band Hexenhaus, he became one of the defining voices of 1990s and 2000s Eurodance through his work with the legendary Cheiron team of Denniz Pop and Max Martin, scoring huge Scandinavian and international hits including Set the World on Fire, This Is the Way and Angels Crying, and writing Campione 2000, the official anthem of the UEFA Euro 2000 tournament. True Believer was released in 2007 as the lead single from his sixth album Eurotopia. It went straight to number one on the Swedish singles chart, reached number 3 in Finland and was certified gold in Sweden. Produced by Max Martin, the track introduced E-Type's new vocalist Sanne Karlsson on its soaring chorus, and was co-written by E-Type and a then up-and-coming songwriter named Savan Kotecha — who would go on to become one of the biggest hitmakers in pop, co-writing Ariana Grande's Problem and Break Free along with smashes for One Direction and Justin Bieber. All Around the World brought the track to the UK in late 2008, where it featured on Clubland 14, with a Breeze & Styles hardcore remix later appearing on the Clubland X-Treme Hardcore series.
