Final: Kyan Yang breaks through for first-ever WSL win at Virginia Beach Pro

A stout Final included two of the region's certified threats, Kyan Yang and Cannon Carr, and the two showed their grit to battle through tough afternoon conditions. Yang's early pair of 5.67s held firm as Carr hunted the lineup relentlessly, coming down to the final moments. But, the wave didn't provide him the opportunity to earn the score and crowned Yang the 2026 victor. Yang now moves to No. 1 on the rankings heading to the WRV Outer Banks Pro.
