Esau Sold His Birthright: Thinking Biblically, Not in the Moment (Pastor Daniel Stevens)

Genesis 25:24-34 tells of the birth of Esau and Jacob, their parents' favoritism, and Esau selling his birthright for a bowl of pottage. The sermon taught that the way we think determines how we act. It showed that believers must have a transformed mind and the mind of Christ, so that they value eternal things instead of reacting to the appetites and circumstances of the moment. Passage: Genesis 25:24-34 I. Favoritism Is a Problem II. It's Okay for People to Be Different III. Esau Allowed a Temporary Appetite to Control a Permanent Decision IV. What Do You Value?
