Exploring the forgotten boiler room of the SS William A Irvin.

Many people have toured the William A Irvin museum ship In Duluth Minnesota and seen the engine room. very few have seen the boiler room which generated steam to power the whole ship. In this video we will explore and learn about how this great depression era cargo ship used modern electrical and boiler technology to power the 2000 hp turbine engine and DC generators in the engine room. Regular visitors to the museum aren't allowed in the boiler room.
