Mongolia Vlog Day 5 | The 3-Day Horse Trek Begins

Welcome to The Fiona Show! ☮︎ This is Day 5 of my Mongolia travel vlog, and the adventure we’ve been waiting for officially begins. We left Tsutgalan Camp, met the Mongolian horses that would be carrying us through the next three days, and began our trek through the mountains surrounding Burgaasatayn Hiid. After our first day on horseback, we arrived at camp and spent the evening with a local nomad family. We hung out around their gers, played games together, shared plenty of laughs, and settled in for dinner before I headed to my tent for my first night sleeping alone in the Mongolian wilderness. This day felt like the start of an entirely new chapter. We were officially trading roads and ger camps for horses, tents, mountains, and a much more remote side of Mongolia.
