3MT - Three Minute Thesis presentation - IISc on Friday, 22 May 2026

The Office of Communications (OoC) is excited to present "3MT - Three Minute Thesis presentation". Title: Three-minute Thesis presentation Researchers often work on highly complex problems that are generally difficult to communicate to non-specialists. The ‘Three-minute Thesis’ format provides an engaging platform for students and early-career researchers to present their research clearly and concisely to a broad audience. This exercise would encourage researchers to develop essential science communication skills while also broadening the reach of their work across the campus community. Event format: Participants will present their thesis work (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in three minutes in video format (this can be in the form of a slideshow with voiceover or video, or a video recording of the researcher talking about their work). The presentations must be understandable for a non-specialist audience and should avoid the use of jargon.
