This Was Always the Plan for Recon One

Recon One has officially entered its next phase! When I started Project Recon One, the goal was to take a relatively simple Jeep Wrangler Willys and build it in stages testing each phase on the trail, learning what worked, finding its limitations, and eventually transforming it into a dedicated hardcore rock crawler. Well, we’ve reached that point. Over the last month, Recon One has undergone some of its biggest changes yet. In this video, I’m walking you through the new axles, wheels and tires, fender changes, gauges, a few things I’ve removed, and some other upgrades that are helping prepare this Jeep for much more difficult trails. There are still a few things left to do, but Recon One is getting very close to the Jeep I envisioned when this project began. And yes... one of the new upgrades has absolutely nothing to do with rock crawling, but it makes me smile every time I turn it on.
