This is one of the most popular ones in the Voss area, going all the way up to 940m above sea level. From here, you can access the crashed WW2 plane on Kvitanosi, Volahytta and other worthwhile destinations. On this drive in mid-August of 2026, the road was apparently closed. A phone call to the hydropower company owning the road - and obliged to have it open to the public - gave me the green light to proceed. In case you get into a similar situation, it's best to call and not just ignore warning signs - even though there are plenty (!) on this road, as seen in the thumbnail. Driven in a 2023 Nissan LEAF, filmed on a Samsung A54.
