Woodbank Parkrun (POV) - The Run - Event 800 - 05/09/2026 This is the POV of the parkrun. A special one for Woodbank as it was their 800th Event. This is my first parkrun at this event finishing in 133rd place with a time of 29m29s. A 2 and a half lap course in Woodbank Memorial Park, Stockport, Cheshire with an out section at the start on tarmac in a clockwise direction, followed by 2 anti-clockwise laps. There is a small amount of woodland trail and some cobblestones on the uphill section of the course. The course is mostly flat throughout. Road shoes are fine for Summer, trail shoes may give a bit more grip in Winter, especially on any muddy sections. There is a downhill and uphill section of moderate descent and incline, which has to be completed twice. There are some very narrow sections in addition. Note, parking is free at the North end car park. There is a larger car park at the South side of the park. That may also be free, but I didn't visit it. There is a cafe in the park with toilets which only opens at 10am. The park has play areas for children and there are plenty of walking routes.
