still-true — what your document never says, and how many lines it read to find out

Forward a lease, a terms-of-service update or an insurance renewal to an email address. Every answer comes back quoted from your own text with the line it came from — and where no single line answers the question, it says so and tells you how many lines it searched. "Searched all 418 lines. No single line states it." That is a real refusal on a real public-housing lease, for "how many days after move-out must the deposit be returned?" Checked by hand against the source PDF: seven occurrences of "deposit", none of them a deadline. The model returns a line number. The sentence you read is cut out of your document by index, on the server, after the model has finished talking. It cannot show you a sentence that is not in your document — the quote IS the document. Every url-backed document is re-read daily. A change is only reported when a hash of the text has moved AND the exact clause a finding quoted is gone. Neither gate asks the model a second time.
