A major change to commercial solar support has just been announced and it could make larger solar systems significantly more accessible for Victorian businesses. The Australian Government intends to expand the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) from solar systems up to 100 kW to systems as large as 1 MW. For eligible businesses, government estimates suggest this could reduce the upfront cost of a commercial solar system by around 20%.
