Back to Back Elizabeth Taylor | The Complete Interviews (1959-1975)

Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011) began her career as a child actor in the early 1940s before rising to become one of the most recognisable stars of Hollywood's golden age during the 1950s. By the 1960s, she was the world's highest-paid film actress and remained in the public eye until her death in 2011 at the age of 79. Taylor is best known for playing the title role in Joseph L. Mankiewicz's 1963 epic Cleopatra, where she starred opposite Richard Burton, with whom she began a highly publicised romance. Her private life attracted intense media attention, particularly her relationships with Eddie Fisher and Burton, whom she married twice and appeared alongside in 11 feature films. Beyond acting, Taylor became one of the first major celebrities to champion HIV/AIDS awareness, co-founding the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) in 1985 and establishing the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation in 1991. #elizabethtaylor #richardburton #oldhollywood #filmhistory #americancinema Subscribe to our YouTube channel and tap the bell icon so you never miss a new video! 👉    / @flashbackbyitn   Subscribe to our other channels: Re-Told by ITN –    / @retoldbyitn   Frontline by ITN –    / @frontlinebyitn   To search the ITN Archive collection on Getty Images, click here: https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/resourc...
