Sometimes it simply says: “Worship — but do it here.” “Go — but don’t go too far.” “Serve God — but leave your family behind.” “Take your family — but leave your possessions here.” It sounds logical. It sounds reasonable. But little by little, it compromises your allegiance to God and His Kingdom. Through Pharaoh’s negotiations with Moses, this message exposes how the Babylonian system offers alternative versions of obedience instead of allowing us to follow God’s instruction completely. Pharaoh kept offering Moses alternatives. But Moses answered: “Not a hoof shall be left behind.” My life belongs to Him. My family belongs to Him. My possessions belong to Him. My business belongs to Him. My future belongs to Him. No reservation. No holding back. The Babylonian system says: “I built this. I made this happen. I will make a name for myself.” The Blessing produces a different posture: “God, I know where You brought me from. You made me. You lifted me. You have been faithful.” Daniel could live inside Babylon without Babylon living inside him. That is the invitation. Unplug from the Babylonian system.
