Scenic Approach and Landing at Meriden Markham | KMMK

There are 60,850 people living in Meriden, CT I hope the YouTube Algorithm finds a way to send them this breathtaking and scenic video if their small city! Its late May and we are flying over the Berlin Turnpike on our way to Land at Meriden Markham Municipal Airport (KMMK). The sky is so blue on this clear late morning. The video begins on the Departure end of Runway 20 at Hartford-Brainard (KHFD). We then head southwest, over Wethersfield, for this short 18-minute flight. Listen to me talk with ATC and comment with the other pilots on the beautiful day of flying ahead. In this flight see luscious green trees and beautiful blue water that line the Berlin Turnpike below. We trace Route 15 all the Way to I-691 and I-91. See the construction that is taking place where these major roadways meet. Listen to me make radio calls on the Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) for Meriden Airport as I arrive for landing. We are using Runway 18 today at Meriden and I enter the 45-degree about 3 miles out from the airport over the Wilbur Cross Parkway directly over the DOT building. Watch the approach and landing into an Iconic Connecticut Non-Towered Airport. Please share this video with anyone you know that lives in Meriden. I bet they will want to see how colorfully green their city is from above. ✈️ What You’ll See • Departure KHFD Runway 20 over I-91 • Wethersfield Cove • Berlin Fair Grounds in Berlin, CT • Belin Turnpike (Route 15) • Sage Park • Lamentation Mountain State Park • Hunter Memorial Golf Course in Meriden, CT • Baldwins Pond • Francis T Maloney High School in Meriden, CT • Highway Garage Road (DOT Building) • Yale Ave and Hanover Pond • Landing at Meriden Markham Municipal Airport Runway 18 ⏱️ Chapters 0:00 - Departing Hartfor-Brainard talking with ATC 0:46 - Listen to ASOS over Berlin CT 1:50 - Time Lapse over Meriden CT North to South 4:15 - Downwind Runway 18 Landing KMMK 🔔 Join the Crew: • New aviation videos every Sunday & Wednesday • Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a flight 🎖️ Become a member for exclusive perks: • Early video access • Member-only monthly content • Custom emojis • Unique badges in comments 👉 Join here:    / @alphakilo.warrior   ⚠️ The content in this video is not provided for the purpose of instruction, only for entertainment. 📢 Stay Connected! 🌐 Website: https://www.alphakilowarrior.com 📸 Instagram:   / alpha.kilo.warrior   📘 TikTok:   / alphakilowarrior   📘 Facebook:   / alpha.kilo.warrior   #pilot #flightexperience #generalaviation #aviation #landing #butterlanding #cockpitview #connecticut
