Trump names new White House press secretary

President Donald Trump has selected Katie Zacharia, a conservative commentator who worked briefly at the Department of Homeland Security, as his new press secretary, multiple White House officials told CNN. And the president sought Leavitt’s counsel before making a final decision and offering Zacharia the position, they said. 0:00 Katie Zacharia's background 2:06 Why did Trump select her as White House press secretary? 5:08 How the new press secretary might deal with media ban 6:20 The influence she could have leading up to the midterm elections Watch 24/7 live news with CNN Headlines: https://bit.ly/4eIvlTr #News #Trump #press
