A tribute to Georges Mathieu. Only artistic action with sounds taken from contemporaneity. With an introduction by the art critic – curator and journalist Alain Chivilò, an abstract taken from the 40 minutes original show, which Mathieu was totally involved in the creation of the work, through the electro-acoustic music by Pierre Henry not recorded in the B&W video from the Mathieu’s archive. Attraverso un'introduzione del critico-curatore d'arte e giornalista Alain Chivilò, un estratto preso dalla performance originale di 40 minuti, nella quale Mathieu è stato coinvolto totalmente nella creazione dell'opera, accompagnato dalla musica elettroacustica di Pierre Henry non registrata nel video in bianco e nero dall’archivio Mathieu. This exceptional document was edited with the many rushes of a film reel recently found in the archives of Georges Mathieu. We have tried to reorder them chronologically as precisely as possible. All the raw footage is included, showing many actions from different angles. The full name of the artwork is "Hommage au Connétable de Bourbon, auteur du sac de Rome".
