FRV | Arriva London Route 319 - Sloane Square to Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue - (DW268, LJ59 LXZ)

Joined by ‪@Londonbuses263‬ The tram shed of Brixton Garage is closed from 24 October until November due to roadworks on Brixton Hill affecting access to the tram shed. As the tram shed is the only part of Brixton Garage that is wired up with electric chargers, route 319 is currently unable to use its electric buses and routes 50 and 417 have had to move away to other garages (Thornton Heath and Norwood respectively). As a result, Wright Gemini 2 bodied VDL DB300s from various garages (Croydon and Edmonton), with some LJ59s even being revived from the dead (i.e. returning to service) for the 319 - I was lucky and got one! This route is nice, especially between Sloane Square and Clapham Junction through its Central and Inner London scenery. The route is 8 miles long, and takes approximately 34-76 minutes to complete the route end to end. The route is operated by Arriva London from Brixton garage using Wright Gemini 2 bodied VDL DB300s (the route is normally allocated BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro400EVs, but they are not running as explained earlier). The route runs between Sloane Square and Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue, and runs via the following locations: King's Road, Battersea Bridge, Battersea, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common, Tooting Bec, Streatham Park, Streatham and Streatham Hill, before terminating at Telford Avenue.
