Our journey begins with spectacular aerial views over **Chania and the Old Venetian Harbour**, before we come down to street level and experience the city the way we love most — slowly, on foot. Early in the morning, the harbour has a completely different character. The restaurants and cafés are beginning to open, people are having their first coffee or breakfast by the water, boats are preparing for another day at sea, and the streets are still quiet enough to notice the small details that disappear later in the crowds. We walk along the waterfront and continue onto the historic **Venetian breakwater**, following it all the way to the famous **Chania Lighthouse**. From here, the views back toward the colourful harbour and Old Town are simply unforgettable. Along the way, we discover some of Chania’s most recognizable landmarks, including **Firkas Fortress**, the **Maritime Museum of Crete**, the historic **Yali Mosque**, and centuries of Venetian, Ottoman and Greek history that have shaped the city we see today. But Chania is much more than its famous harbour. We leave the waterfront and wander through the narrow streets of the **Old Town**, discovering colourful buildings, small shops, hidden corners, traditional restaurants and beautiful squares. We visit the area around **Trimartiri – the Cathedral of Chania**, and simply enjoy getting lost in streets where every turn seems to reveal something new. And then we experience Chania once again after sunset. As evening arrives, the harbour changes completely. Restaurant tables fill, lights reflect across the water, people stroll along the promenade and the Old Town comes alive with a completely different energy. Morning and evening. Sea and stone. History and everyday life. This is the Chania we wanted to remember — and the Chania we wanted to share with you.
