Ekitiibwa kya Buganda, Ennongoosereza 2023|Final 2026| Mayambala Kizito BM|St Charles Lwanga Lubaga

This is the Buganda Kingdom Anthem; "Ekitiibwa Kya Buganda" ("The Buganda's Glory"). It was composed originally by Rev. Polycarp Kakooza in 1939, after getting music from Germany Score arrangement, on which he put the Luganda language words to make the anthem. Because he was aligning all the words on the same music, some of the words lost the grammar essence as 'Luganda language is tonic', and they lost meanings or sounded in a changed meaning thus distorting the intended message. So, in 2023, an experienced music expert, composer and arranger, Mayambala Kizito BM., and a Muganda by tribe, came up with this professional correction which he termed as "Ekitiibwa Kya Buganda, Ennongoosereza 2023", which was authorized by the Kingdom, and launched on 29th July 2026 by Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga at Bulange Mengo at 11:00am, and as a key preparatory event and part of the official program for the 33rd Coronation Anniversary celebrations of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II. It was sung by St. Charles Lwanga Lubaga Cathedral Choir, Conducted by Mayambala Kizito BM (Technical Director/ Instructor); thus "Ekitiibwa Kya Buganda, Ennongoosereza 2023 (Final Release 2026)". Mayambala Kizito BM. is also known worldwide as an expert music composer, arranger and harmonizer in Catholic Church music and other fields with over '100 music Compositions, Harmonies and Arrangements' in various languages like: "Luganda, Latin, Runyankole, English, Rufumbira, Swahili etc". He is a greatly skilled choir conductor, choir trainer and a professional Adjudicator or Music Judge up to high levels. Mayambala Kizito BM. has "by 2025 trained and conducted over 100 different Choirs of all levels from small to huge ones of more than 250 choristers, thus giving him an extensive experience and a wonderful expertise and great skill". Mayambala Kizito BM. is also among the 'key-members' who made the Constitution of St. Charles Lwanga Lubaga Cathedral Choir in 1991, which was officiated in the same year. He has engaged in making, revising and upgrading many other choirs' constitutions, e.g. 2. St. Kizito's Choir, Kigoowa Parish - 1995, 3. St. James' Parish Choir, Bbiina Parish - 2007, 4. Angels Choir Kawempe - 2015, and many more. This Buganda Kingdom Anthem "Ekitiibwa Kya Buganda, Ennongoosereza 2023 (Final Release 2026)", can be freely downloaded and sung by any singers around the world, provided its music and grammar are highly respected. It is sung on all Buganda Kingdom official and nonofficial functions, and meetings, at their opening and closure. These include celebrations of the inoculation of Kabaka (the King), the King's Birthday, opening of the Buganda Nation Assembly (The Lukiiko), Traditional marriage introductions (Okwanjula), and many more.
