GBA Conquest #343: Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - 3D Gore Ported to Handheld!

Finish Him! 🩸⚔️ For GBA Conquest #343, we are testing our might with "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance", published and developed by Midway Games in 2002. In this video, we look at how Midway brought their flagship 3D fighting reboot down to Nintendo's 32-bit handheld. We break down how the developers recreated the game's iconic mechanics—from real-time fighting style stance changes and weapon combat to devastating special moves and bloody Fatalities. We inspect the dynamic pseudo-3D visual engine, evaluate the sound design and music, check out unlockables in the Krypt, and decide if this handheld fighting game holds up as one of the GBA's most impressive ports. The GBA Conquest is my mission to play and review every single Game Boy Advance game ever released.
