SRE Engineers Jobs Are Safer From AI Layoffs

With AI changing the way we work in tech, one question keeps coming up — which IT jobs are actually going to be more resilient to automation and layoffs? In this video, I’m sharing my personal take as an SRE on why I feel SRE / Production / Ops roles may have an advantage compared to traditional development roles. I talk about what I see in my own work, why production is different from development, how AI is already helping engineers, and why human decision-making is still so important when real customers and business are involved. This is not saying SRE jobs are 100% safe — layoffs can happen in any role, including SRE.
