In 2009, four friends – Nick Schuyler (Zachary Levi), Will Bleakley (Marshall Cook), NFL linebacker Marquis Cooper (Quentin Plair) and NFL defensive end Corey Smith (Terrence Terrell) – went on a fishing trip and ended up stranded at sea 70 miles off the coast of Florida after their boat capsizes.
They're story is told across 121 minutes in the pulse-pounding "Not Without Hope."
"It's a harrowing story. It is very intense, but ultimately, I think it leaves the audience believing in hope, at least a little bit more in fighting against all odds and knowing that there is always that shred of hope to cling to, to hold onto in the depths of despair," said Levi ("Chuck," "Shazam!").
"Not Without Hope" opens in theaters Friday, Dec. 12.
