9th of Av | Pas Sonny Chandra

Shared at the Shabbat Service on 31st July 2026. The 9th of Av (Tisha B’Av) is one of the most solemn days in the Jewish calendar, remembering the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem and other tragedies that befell the Jewish people. In this teaching, we explore the biblical significance of the 9th of Av, what we can learn from Israel’s history, and how mourning can ultimately point us toward repentance, restoration, redemption, and the hope of Messiah YESHUA. “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” – Isaiah 40:1 We hope that you are blessed by this teaching.
