From Manitou Springs to Pikes Peak | Barr Trail Hike

13.5 miles and 7,450 feet of climbing to the top of Pikes Peak. Kaitlyn and I hike the Barr Trail for our first Colorado fourteener, and the views above treeline made every step worth it. Starting in Manitou Springs, Colorado, the Barr Trail climbs all the way to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak. What began as a big challenge for our first 14er became one of our favorite active travel days in Colorado, with expansive views, high-alpine terrain, and an unforgettable finish.
