Learn OSPF from the ground up, then all the way to multi-area design and troubleshooting. The whole course is built on one real multi-area lab in Cisco Packet Tracer 9: 8 OSPF routers in 5 areas, plus an ISP and a partner network. Every command output on screen comes from that lab.
When Packet Tracer can't do something (Type 7 LSAs, HMAC-SHA-256 key chains, BFD, route filtering), the video says so and shows real Cisco IOS syntax from Cisco's documentation instead.
What you'll learn: how routers find neighbors, share one map and calculate best paths; router IDs, timers, neighbor states and the DR/BDR election; LSA types, cost and equal-cost paths; areas, ABRs, ASBRs and external routes; stub, totally stubby and NSSA areas; summarization, virtual links, authentication, filtering and OSPFv3; and step-by-step configuration, verification and troubleshooting.
