No matter what type of nock and D-loop configuration you like, "nock pinch" can still be a serious problem! I've talked about my preference for two nocking points before and why they are my preferred. I really like having two nocking points set so when I change my D-loop, it doesn't effect my accuracy because I'm not loosing my top nock position and lose my tune when I change it out. (Which is what happens if you change a D-loop that doesn't have a tied nocking point). But that doesn't mean they're always in a perfect place. When the nock points are too close together, they cause nock pinch - the pinching of your nock on the string which causes inaccuracy. In this video I show you how!!!! A great way to diagnose nock pinch is to take the point off your arrow (to reduce the weight), draw it back, and see if your arrow lifts off the rest. If it does, your nocking points are too tight. Be sure to double check this for lighted nocks too! The thickness of your nocks could vary, allowing one to work great and the other to suffer.
