TALKING IN FREQUENCIES
🎬 ORIGINAL MUSIC VIDEO | MUSAIC COLLECTIVE / VCG
“CAN YOU HEAR ME?”
Two people can stand in the same room, speak the same language, and somehow miss each other completely.
One speaks through anger. Another through fear. Someone hides what they mean. Someone else is only asking for a little relief.
TALKING IN FREQUENCIES is a song about the distance between speaking and being understood—and the small, powerful change that happens when somebody finally listens.
📡 THE CENTRAL THESIS
WE'RE ALL BROADCASTING. BUT ARE WE RECEIVING?
The lyrics picture human communication as radio signals: different sounds, melodies, and emotional frequencies traveling through the same world.
“Same heartbeat, different sound. Same sky, different town.”
People may express similar needs in very different ways. Anger can conceal fear. Silence can conceal hurt. A disagreement can grow louder even when neither person feels heard.
The song doesn't insist that everyone secretly agrees. It asks whether we can understand one another more accurately before deciding how far apart we really are.
🎙️ CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Early in the story, voices reach across the room but fail to connect.
The chorus keeps returning to the same hope: despite our different melodies, there may still be a way toward harmony.
Then a crucial exchange changes the direction:
“CAN YOU HEAR ME?”
“I HEAR YOU NOW.”
The speaker hasn't won an argument. The other person hasn't surrendered a conviction.
Something quieter has happened: communication becomes mutual.
🔊 LOUDER ISN'T THE ANSWER
The second half confronts a familiar habit: when conversation fails, we increase the volume.
People shout. Towns build walls. Everyone prepares a better rebuttal.
But the songwriter refuses to confuse force with understanding.
“THE ANSWER WASN'T LOUDER.
THE ANSWER WASN'T WINNING.
THE ANSWER WAS FINALLY LISTENING.”
That isn't a demand to agree with everything somebody says. Listening includes asking questions, noticing what was actually meant, and responding to a real person rather than a caricature.
🎶 THE SONG'S NARRATIVE JOURNEY
ACT I — LOST SIGNAL
A simple question—“Can you hear me?”—opens a world full of voices that aren't connecting.
ACT II — SAME HEARTBEAT
Different words, different towns, and different emotional languages reveal possible common ground.
ACT III — BROADCASTING
The repeated frequency metaphor becomes a longing for harmony rather than another argument.
ACT IV — ANGER, FEAR, LOVE, RELIEF
The song looks underneath the way people speak to the needs they may be trying to express.
ACT V — I HEAR YOU NOW
The conversation changes when listening becomes an action.
ACT VI — THE LAST QUESTION
After all the noise, the ending makes room for silence—and understanding.
🎨 THE 16:9 COVER ART
Two people face one another from separate city rooftops, each surrounded by microphones, radios, and the colors of a different signal.
Blue and amber waveforms cross the skyline. They don't become identical; they meet and form a shared rhythm.
One sign asks, “CAN YOU HEAR ME?” The other answers, “I'M LISTENING NOW.”
And on the mixing desk below them sits the song's real choice:
LOUDER — or LISTEN?
The image is about connection without erasing difference.

🎯 RELEASE THESIS
THE ANSWER WASN'T LOUDER.
THE ANSWER WAS FINALLY LISTENING.
You don't have to abandon your beliefs to hear another person.
You don't have to win every exchange to make a connection.
Different voices.
Same human need to be heard.
“CAN YOU HEAR ME?”
“I'M LISTENING NOW.”
