Endure | Don’t Quit, Don’t Give In, Don’t Give Up | Pastor Chris Swett

In “Endure,” Pastor Chris Swett preaches from Matthew 24:13: “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” The Christian life is not a promise that we will never face battles, trials, temptation, pressure, or spiritual warfare. The call of Scripture is to remain steadfast through them—to ENDURE. Pastor Swett warns the church that spiritual warfare will come and challenges believers to be prepared rather than surprised when the battle intensifies. The enemy may attack your mind, sow doubt, tell you that continuing is pointless, and tempt you to quit. But hold on. The God who brought you this far has not abandoned you. Using Israel at the Red Sea, Pastor Swett shows how God sometimes allows us to reach places where there appears to be no way around, over, or through the problem. Israel was placed in a position of weakness where only God's power could make a way. Sometimes you won't know HOW you're going to make it through. But you can still know WHO will bring you through. The trial was not permitted to destroy you. God can use adversity to develop your faith, strengthen your character, and teach you to depend upon Him rather than your own strength. Like trees enduring the force of a powerful storm, sometimes the only thing you can do is stay rooted and HOLD ON. The storm will not last forever. This message also carries a serious challenge to remain faithful to the truth of God's Word. Scripture warns of a time when people will no longer endure sound doctrine and will instead seek teachers who tell them what they want to hear. The church must continue preaching the truth whether it is popular or unpopular. Stand fast. Stay rooted. Keep the faith. Keep moving forward. Don't surrender your ground. There is a harvest coming if we refuse to faint. DON'T QUIT. DON'T GIVE IN. DON'T GIVE UP. ENDURE.
