Hiking Dial and Nippletop via Bear Den Mountain {barefoot}

Wednesday, August 26th I started at the AMR parking lot and made my way through the AMR and onto Lake road, where I continued to walk to the Bear Den mountain trailhead. It was 13.34 miles to get over Bear Den, down and over Dial, and then down and over Nippletop. I made the hike mostly barefoot because my boots were rubbing crazy blisters into my heels and I was too stubborn to turn around! Despite this, it was a beautiful day for this hike! It was a perfect temperature, there was mud but not crazy until I neared the peak of Nippletop. As always, the final descent and the long stretch back to the car was the worst, but nothing was bad. 10/10 experience and I’d do it again! #aspiring46er #adirondackmountains #upstateny #hikingadventures
