Evony Probus Guide 2026 — Is He REALLY Worth Building? Probus is one of Evony’s newest Siege Generals, and the stats already confirmed in-game make him look extremely powerful. But should you actually build him? That is a different question. His max fourth Specialty and currently confirmed Covenant alone already provide huge offensive Siege value, including +90% Siege Attack, +70% Siege Defense, +67% Siege HP and +10% March Size when attacking — and that still does not represent his complete maximum kit. In this video, I break down: Probus’s best role His Special Skill, Expel Barbarians Reclaim Gaul fourth Specialty Full confirmed Covenant bonuses Why his +10% March Size matters Solo Siege potential Rally filler vs rally setter Whether he works for defense Probus as Main vs Assistant How to test pairings properly Potential Skill Books One-copy vs fully maxed value F2P and low-spend strategy Whether he can replace an existing Siege General Probus vs Demetrius I Whether you should invest now One of the most important confirmed parts of his kit is Reclaim Gaul, which at max level provides: Attacking Siege Machine Attack +65% Siege Machine Defense +50% Siege Machine HP +50% His Covenant also adds Siege Attack, Defense, HP, March Size and Siege Training Speed, including +10% March Size Capacity at the Civilization stage. But because Probus is so new, there are still important details that need full verification, particularly his complete Special Skill wording, Specialties 1–3 and Ascension values. That means the smartest approach right now is: PAIR FIRST. INVEST SECOND. Use Evony’s General Simulation to test Probus with your intended Main or Assistant, check for greyed-out skills and confirm which buffs actually remain active before committing expensive resources. For F2P and low spenders, accessibility matters just as much as raw strength. An unfinished premium General can still lose to a fully developed older General, so do not commit Blood of Ares, Runestones, Covenant resources and other scarce materials until you know Probus creates a meaningful upgrade for your account. The real question is not: “Is Probus strong?” He clearly is.
