My 800 Physical Book TBR - Part Two! University Edition. A bookshelf tour of the 160 ish books from my physical TBR that I dragged all the way to Cumbria. You might recognise a handful from my first video as I brought a few back with me that I needed to take home for my end of year one assignments. Yes I know E-books exist but I'm an old analogue dinosaur that needs the smell and feel of a 'real' book in my hands in order to absorb the information into my tired old brain haahaa! So here's my selection of nature, conservation, woodland ecology, botanical science, forestry, climate change, wildlife, philosophy, occult and fiction books that live with me in my tiny room in the Lake District. Factoring in all the field guides, dictionaries, giant textbooks, and books I've already read, there are 234. I may do a separate video on the reference books like textbooks and dictionaries and maybe a guide to field guides in future... and yes, I have only been here a week and I've already added another two to the pile, but I couldn't very well pass them by after including them in my new releases to look out for video! Stay to the end to see which ones I bought. 00:00 Intro 00:53 Fiction 02:18 Study related 03:09 Occult 04:07 Mixed non fiction 05:09 Ecology, Nature, Climate Change, Evolution 08:40 Plants, Wildlife 10:18 Fungi, Lichens, Bryophytes, Ferns 11:43 Forestry, Woodlands, Trees 13:41 Currently reading 13:53 Outro and new books! Verdant Academia is a place where you'll find books... lots and lots of books. I'm a 44 year old mature student studying Woodland Ecology and Conservation at undergraduate level in the beautiful Lake District in England. I'm an analogue old-millennial fighting the good fight against the barrage of AI in education. I'm a notebook advocate and journaling obsessive. I will be bringing you book recommendations- fiction and non fiction. I love an urban fantasy, and I'm getting into other genres including classics, horror, high fantasy and science fiction. Be prepared for a lot of non fiction as well. I have 800 books to read on my ever-growing physical TBR and a great many of them cover conservation, nature, natural history, wildlife, ecology, woodlands, plant sciences, botany, mycology, lichenology, bryology, climate change and everything pertaining to our beautiful planet we call home. Alongside the many, many, many books, there will also be educational content including practical ecology techniques, ecological concepts, botanical sciences, study techniques, notebook practices and whatever else has grabbed my attention along the way.
