Zhangjiadu Village(张家渡村) is located in Linhai City, Zhejiang Province(浙江省台州市临海市). It was formerly known as “Hubu.(湖埠)” During the Song Dynasty, Jinshi scholar Zhang Rukai established a ferry crossing to solve the villagers’ difficulty in crossing the river, and the village was later renamed “Zhangjiadu.” The village retains its traditional layout, with crisscrossing lanes and well-preserved architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including former residences of notable figures such as Xu Shaodi(许绍棣) and Zhang Jingtai(张敬泰).
