Hi & Welcome! Today I visit Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire, one of the UK's most impressive surviving textile mills and a National Trust property and it did not disappoint! Set alongside the River Bollin, Quarry Bank takes you right into the heart of Britain's Industrial Revolution. I had a great day exploring the historic mill, discovering how the water and steam power drove the machinery, and I took a look inside the Apprentice House, where children who worked at the mill once lived. Every part of this day was so amazing, interesting and so informative. I' also explored Quarry Bank House and Styal Village, including the historic workers' cottages and the village school which is still operating today.
