Gold on a Dirt Road

Some voices become part of the soundtrack of our lives. Dolly Parton’s was one of them. She rose from the mountains of Tennessee carrying faith, courage, humor and a heart big enough to make the whole world feel like home. Behind the rhinestones was a gifted songwriter who protected her work, opened doors for generations of women and used her success to lift others—giving books to children, helping families rebuild and offering hope without asking for praise. “Gold on a Dirt Road” is my heartfelt tribute to the mountain girl from Locust Ridge who never forgot where she came from. Dolly showed us that true greatness isn’t measured by fame or fortune, but by how much light we leave behind. Thank you for the songs, the laughter and the love, Dolly. Your music will live forever.
