Edinburgh Is Full of Shortcuts | Royal Mile to St Andrew Square via Waverley Station 4K

October in Edinburgh 🍂 Today, we're walking from the Royal Mile to St Andrew Square, discovering some of Edinburgh's narrow closes, steep stairways and quieter streets along the way. It's a cloudy October afternoon, but the sky is beginning to brighten up. We start beside St Giles' Cathedral, escape the busy Royal Mile through some quiet passages and follow Fleshmarket Close down towards Waverley Station. After walking through the busy railway station, we take a quieter route along West Register Street and finish at St Andrew Square, surrounded by beautiful autumn colours.
