Why didn’t I ? Because I wasn’t satisfied by the result. I thought my edit was way too short, and maybe it is, but I am not the only one to blame : I practically had no other trans character to relate this song to. Because transidentity is not represented enough on medias, especially fictional stuff. I knew I wanted to make a tribute to Elle through this channel. Not only because her outfits are stunning (wish I had such a wardrobe), but because she is such a strong character. Her speech in the latest movie, about being scared all the time… This might seem weird to share my personal life like that, but I recognized in her speech the words of many teenagers I saw in the psychiatrist hospital I was during my high school years. Depression and anxiety girlies, rise up ! slaps her forehead because those last sentences were even more awkward than usual Anyways, I crossed paths with so many young trans boys and girls, who were terrified by their own relatives for not accepting who they are. As a cisgender woman, I am clearly not able to speak about this kind of fear. It just felt like I had to point it out. Because this isn’t right. There are wars all around the world, a global warming destroying our conditions of living.
