Alla prima oil painting of a Canon AE-1 - back when you had a maximum of 36 shots and no idea if any of them turned out ;)
This is a quiet, no-talking painting demonstration - real-time brushwork, edited down with simple cuts, set to calm music. Nothing is sped up or time-lapsed, so you can watch and study each stroke as it lands, or just put it on to relax and unwind.
I paint alla prima in a single sitting - starting with a simple sketch, then straight into the paint. I work section by section, dark to light, moving from the main subject to the background. Once that layer is fully dry, I sometimes go back in for a final pass of small details and glazes. Everything within that first sitting is placed and left exactly as it lands (premier coup): loaded brush, thick painterly strokes, no blending, no layering, no going back - chasing accurate light, form, and value while keeping the marks visible.
