Comparing Groups using Split File Processing in SPSS – Separating an Analysis

Learn to split a dataset so that you see output for subgroups separately. You have a scale variable (Income) that you want to examine between males and females (nominal). By default, SPSS includes all of the cases in your data set when you do an analysis. You can split a file then perform a separate analysis for each subgroup, such as considering descriptive statistics or correlation matrices separately between groups. Apply this technique for any analysis using nominal or ordinal grouping data. Split-file processing is a skill for data handling in SPSS.
